This charging case has a USB-C charging port, rather than the older Lightning connector.
IMPORTANT – USB-C AND LIGHTNING VERSIONS
Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Generation were released in two versions.
2022 Lightning version:
A2698 / A2699 – Earbuds
A2700 – Lightning Charging Case
2023 USB-C version:
A3047 / A3048 / A3049 – Earbud model family
A2968 – USB-C Charging Case
These versions have different hardware model numbers.
This listing is for the 2023 USB-C family. Please do not assume that an earbud from the older Lightning version will synchronise correctly with this replacement.
NOT COMPATIBLE with AirPods Pro 1st Generation, AirPods Pro 3rd Generation, standard AirPods 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th Generation, or other unrelated AirPods models.
Please check the model number printed on your existing earbud and inside the lid of your charging case before purchasing.
When fitting an individual replacement AirPod, the replacement may need to synchronise with your existing AirPod and charging case before the pair will work correctly.
A flashing amber/orange status light during initial setup does not necessarily indicate that the replacement AirPod is faulty.
PLEASE FOLLOW THIS SETUP PROCEDURE:
Place both compatible AirPods Pro 2nd Generation earbuds into the A2968 USB-C charging case.
Connect the charging case to a power source.
Close the lid and leave the case connected to power for 20 minutes.
Open the lid.
If the status light is flashing white, continue to step 7.
If the status light is not flashing white, keep the lid open and press and hold the setup button on the back of the charging case for approximately 15 seconds, until the status light flashes amber and then white.
With the status light flashing white, close the lid.
On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth. If your AirPods are already listed, tap the information button next to them, select Forget This Device, and confirm. If they are not listed, continue to the next step.
Open the charging case with both AirPods inside and go to the Home Screen of your iPhone or iPad.
When the AirPods setup animation appears, select Connect, then Done.
IMPORTANT
Please complete the above replacement-AirPod setup procedure before concluding that the replacement AirPod is faulty.
If the status light does not flash white or the AirPods cannot be paired, further troubleshooting may be required.
Also ensure that your existing AirPod and replacement belong to the same compatible hardware version.
If you experience a problem after completing the procedure, please contact us and provide the model number of your other AirPod and the model number of your charging case so that compatibility can be checked.
